Sloshball

Time to learn a new game:

Waiting my turn.
Kick the ball as far as you can, and RUN!
...or jog...
At 2nd base, empty your glass and refill before you can continue.
This is me pitching.
While the game was on, a few people not brave enough to compete, cooked.
Caroline enjoying the sun. And the thrill of the game ofcourse.
The ball did get stuck in a tree a few times, giving the players a much needed breather.
The supporters.
Mmmm...sausage!
On our way back, the road seemed windier than ever. I wasn't sure if it was a reaction to all the sloshballing.
Apparently, we had come across one of the most windy streets of San Francisco.
Alcatraz in the back.
While not the most windy street, Lombard is the most famous.
Chilling on the couch getting some much needed rest.

Fleet week

First weekend in our new place, and the Navy decides to drop by with a few of their airplanes. We went up to the roof, and took a closer look.
A view from the rooftop. You can see Alcatraz and the Navy's "Blue Angles" in the horizon.
Nob Hill.
The Bay Bridge.
Another view from the rooftop.

The planes flew super close to each other, and made all these crazy flips and turns. It was a great show.
There were a lot of people looking at the show from their rooftops.

The smoke really showed the path the airplanes flew.
It was windy up there, you can see some of our neighbors in the back.
One of the more dramatic drops, those pilots must have a load of fun!

Back home in San Francisco.

On our way out the door to see a baseball game.
At the stadium.
The Oakland Athletic's vs. the Los Angeles Angels. Sadly, the local team lost 2-3.
Our fierce Hyundai. We drove a total of 2,200 miles or 3.520 km in it!
Kristin's dad coming up the stairs in his home.
While relaxing on the sun deck, this little hummingbird came by to have a drink with us.
Driving with a load of boxes to our new home in San Francisco.
Our toilet.
Walk-in closet with all of the boxes...
Our 2nd closet.
The hallway.
Bedroom/living room.
Same room seen from the hallway.
Same room again.
Yet another look at the apartment.
Kinda hard to see, but yes this is a picture of our living room. The glassdoors in the back leads to the kitchen.
Kitchen.
Dining spot in the kitchen. The cats did not however come with the place.
Kitchen again.
We went out to celebrate the move in, and to get a look at the city.
These are taken at "House of Shields".
The TransAmerica building.

Hollywood

We couldn't go to Hollywood without visiting some of their movie-making stuff. We chose to stop by Universal Studios.
Kristin and Dora the Explorer!
Kristin and Spongebob Squarepants!
In line for the Shrek 3D "ride".
Jaws biting my butt.
The Delorean from Back to the Future.
2 robot-powered cars from Tokyo Drift.
Spitting dino.
Careful, there might be predators around...
Flood-warning in the dry-season!
Movie students using the area to test their skills.
More students.
A crashing news helicopter.
Here is the guy responsible for the mess.
Skull Island.
(It's just a model...)
King Kong.
A tank car crashed our subway-set.
It was sunny, so we went to the beach.
We quickly decided to go somewhere else...
:)
This is one of the houses from the set of "Desperate Housewives".
The hotel from "Psycho".
The plane crash site from "War of the Worlds". It is an actual 747 they destroyed to make that scene.
On our way to "the Mummy".
Our fans were waiting at the end of the tour...
Here is my biggest fan.
New York accent slinging ladies.
There was a Halloween theme in the park.
The Incredible Hulk.
The Simpsons.
Kristin showing Millhouse some looooove.
The guys from Apollo 13.
A view of some of the huge area where they are making movies.
There is a golf-course in the back too.
I barely made it...
There was a big plaza just outside the park.
Movie-themed stores and restaurants.
Kristin proving her worth as a running back for the Oakland Raiders!
Later that day, we went for a walk on Hollywood Boulevard to look at the stars.
The Governator himself.
Miss Monroe.
Don't hassle the Hoff!
The crew of Harry Potter.
There he is again!
In front of Mann's Chinese Theater where the concrete hand-prints are.
We met up with Christoffer and Christian later that night.
Westside or something...
Chillin'. We actually saw Drew Barrymore and her boyfriend Adam Long in that bar.
Happy Jazz Hands!
Posing in front of Christian and Christoffer's car. We are sooo cool.
One more for the road. Christoffer showing me some love.
We stayed at this nice Bed and Breakfast place near the Hollywood Hills.
